Miami Players WILL Be Allowed to Play Per NCAA-Incredible

I can't believe this. I thought they were all toast.     

Quarterback Jacory Harris and 11 other Miami players who accepted extra benefits from former booster Nevin Shapiro will be allowed by the NCAA to play again, the first sanctions in a scandal that continues to overshadow the Hurricanes.

This punishment for the current players is in line with what other players have gotten. All players had to reimburse a charity and some have to sit out games. Julio and Ingram did not miss any games after their fishing trip. Dareus had to sit out two games. This punishment is for the current players only. The school is still going to get hammered. Lack of Institutional Control and Failure To Monitor would be my guess.

Yeah, this is probably just the first step in a long, hard road for the program. You're right, this is aimed at the players, the university will be the main target.
