Jesse Williams a starter at DE was the biggest surprise to me. Most other positions were predictable based on media reports.

Sounds like they wanted him on the field asap, and DE was the best fit.  He has lots of technique to learn, but he's a beast and will be a winner wherever he plays.  I'm psyched about him.

We need to start referring to him by his proper name..."Monster From Down Under".  Cool

Whoa! A freshman at WR, White, beating out seniors and others for a starting position. What has happened to Brandon Gibson, Norwood, and Bowman? They all had such hype when recruited. I know hype isn't always accurate, but all 3 were? I hope moving Barrett ones to LT works. You don't usually see an ALL SEC guard moved to another position.

WR

Marquis Maze, 5-10, 180, Sr.
Brandon Gibson, 6-2, 194, Sr.
Kevin Norwood, 6-2, 193, So.

WR

DeAndrew White, 6-0, 181, Fr.
Kenny Bell, 6-1, 175, So.
Michael Bowman, 6-4, 225, So.

TE

Michael Williams, 6-6, 269, Jr.
Chris Underwood, 6-4, 243, Sr.
Brian Vogler, 6-7, 252, Fr.

TE

Brad Smelley, 6-3, 229, Sr.
Harrison Jones, 6-4, 248, Fr.

LT

Barrett Jones, 6-5, 311, Jr./Cyrus Kouandjio, 6-6, 322, Fr.
Tyler Love, 6-6, 307, Jr.

Hanks is out for the first two games but expect him to be a starter when he returns. The coaching staff has been praising White since fall camp started. I think it is a matter of White being a stud receiver rather than the others performing poorly.

I had totally forgotten about Hanks, thanks for the reminder. Yeah, Hanks has good hands so he will be back as a major contributor. Yeah, White sounds incredible from the reporting. Great speeed and hands, terrific combination. I can't wait to see him against a team like Penn St. and Arkansas.

White is a Redshirt Freshman so he has been in the program for a year. I am excited about watching him play.

I see where Tyler Love is 3rd on depth chart. I thought when he was recruited everybody cringed till his letter came in and he is really not ever challenged for a starting position. RTR!

Michael Bowman, and Duron Carter are both 6-4. They're not Julio Jones but it helps when you are taller than secondary covers.

Yep, a 5***** recruit who has not worked out. Some posters who have seen practice say he is "soft."

Something I found interesting is that Millner is listed at KR. I watched him return in HS and he could run like the wind. It will be interesting to see how he does.
