Making a decision is the ultimate challenge for Alabama coach Nick Saban, who has handled the competition delicately. Statistics were not released after either of two preseason scrimmages.
"We're not going to make this a public debate based on completion percentage or TD passes, because there's so many factors that go into it: who you're playing against, the guys you're playing with, the defense totally busts and we throw a TD pass so that means something?" Saban said after the second scrimmage. "We'd like to do it more on how they execute doing things we want them to do."
