All Jim McElwain has to do this offseason as Alabama’s offensive coordinator is replace wide receiver Julio Jones, Heisman Trophy-winning running back Mark Ingram and savvy two-year starting quarterback Greg McElroy.
Could one of the smallest guys on the team take a role in replacing all three? Marquis Maze goes into his senior season perhaps a bit underrated and underappreciated. He caught 38 passes for 557 yards and three touchdowns last season.
He also is one of the Tide’s most versatile weapons. He can hurt opponents with his hands and his legs. And he even threw a 19-yard touchdown pass out of the Tide’s wildcat formation to tight end Michael Williams against Florida.
