The ticket office at Bama really confuses me. I ordered my regular season tickets and I have a choice of UPS or will call, I chose the will call because I didn't want to waste a day sitting home waiting on UPS to deliver.

Then I was offered a chance to buy some more home game tickets as well as road games and I bought some of each, I wasn't asked as to how I preferred them to be delivered.

Today I received the home game tickets in the regular mail and also received the road game tickets via UPS.

Am I missing something here?

I don't think so.  You are getting your tickets AND getting to buy some more?Huh?

I have been on that blasted waiting list for almost a decade.

I think I am the one that is missing something.  I have no idea how to get tickets through UA.  I wish someone would tell me the secret.

It has been a while.  I never actually talked to them, I just filled out some forms to get on the waiting list.  I think I filled it out 2 or 3 years in a row, and then someone told me that it wasn't necessary to do it again every year.  It has been a while though.  So is it a lot easier to get the tickets now that the stadium has expanded?

I won't say it's a lot easier but with the economy the way it is there might be more chances now. Also, they will ask you what level you would prefer, list all of the levels that you can afford and it will give you more chances to get in. To be on the safe side I would touch base with them each year.

I must be about 5 years over due then.  Do you have to donate the money before you get the tickets, or make a pledge on the form that you will donate XXX if you get tickets?  I never understood how that worked.  I didn't make any donations yet, so that could be the problem.  I thought you had to wait and see what level your tickets where in and then donate the amount for that level.

I joined the first year of Tide Pride and my points look like a very small fish in the ocean when I compare the points. Donations is the key to getting tickets without waiting.

Do you make the donations to Tide Pride?

I'm not sure how the point system works, or how you even get points.

I got into Tide Pride last year with the expansion, SC.  I'd been on the waiting list since fall of '07 (before Shula was fired and Saban was hired).  Anyone that applied before that and included the Century Club (2nd tier from bottom) as an option should have been added.

You do not have to donate any money until they notify you that you're eligible to join and order tickets.  Now if you want to donate $10,000+ they may talk to you about moving up the list, but otherwise it won't do any good to donate a couple hundred or whatever.

SC. I have been a member of Tide Pride and Century Club since 1988. First I would call UA ticket office. Those people that work in tickets are very nice and can give you details on what you need to do about tickets and which club has the smaller waiting list. At RollTide.com there is a Tide Pride section on page for tickets. There is an application to fill out. Also there is a list for donations for each of the clubs. Check which one you want to apply for.

Yeah, I filled mine out at RollTide.com.  This was back in 2003 and 2004, probably 2005 too.  Hmmm.... I just realized that I have moved since then.  I wonder if that is the problem.  They probably sent the stuff to my old house.

I will call them when I get a chance and see what list I need to get on to get tickets the fastest.
