Just saw where this was already posted in the other Julio thread, but I figured it might should get its own thread.

"Julio Jones already had a reputation for soldiering through injuries.

That reputation could reach legendary status after a report Monday that the former Alabama wide receiver worked out at the NFL Scouting Combine despite a foot fracture."

 Shocked  Wow!

Major-league bummer.  I was dreaming of Julio going 4th; 10th at least.  Now?

He ran a 4.39/40 with a broken foot.  I dont think it hurts him.

BUT, whats the deal with his bones?  Does he need to drink more milk?

I'm afraid that's the NFL focus this morning.  UGH.

Off to work now...thanks.

Drive safely.

I read (I think it was from SLO over on woolly, not sure) that ESPN reported a lock out imminent.  I will see if I can find more info.

Yeah, saw that post about the lockout.  I don't think their opinions matter YET.

No way. This is his third or fourth injury/surgery in 3 years. That means he's injury-prone in the eyes of the NFL. He may be tough, but he is also fragile, it appears. I don't see anyone dropping such huge money on him in the first 10 picks. I expect to see him go 20-30 in the first round.

I'm still hoping he gets taken by Washington as their first (14th?) pick.

The Redskins have been burned on so many bad draft picks the last 5-7 years, I don't know if they really wan to risk another one.

I'm hoping this injury won't knock him down in the draft. He's proven that he can work through injury. I mean, the guy played with a broken bone in his hand AND 2 weeks after surgery, set records.  I think he just plays so darn hard. I hope this doesn't hurt him - a team couldn't get a more dedicated player.

The announcers at the NFL Combine just reviewed him, and they said he helped himself despite the injury.  One of them said he probably won't stay in the draft past St. Louis (14th pick).

I think, at this point, that might be the best expected.  He's a talent, but this is MEGA$$$$$$$$$ involved.  The series of injuries hurts his chances.

Im worried that he ends up at one of the worst NFL franchises out there. Cleveland, Buffalo, Kansas City, Jacksonville, St. Louis, & Phoenix all stink as NFL owners. Nashville is getting there.

Julio does his best work when something is broken. He had about a drop a game before he broke his hand and then caught everything in his Zip code after he broke it. Then he runs sub-4.4 with a broken foot. Whoever drafts him will probably make him go full contact with no pads just to make sure he performs at his best on Sundays.

Hey General I was thinking the same thing. It is going to harder hitting in the NFL. I hope he holds up.
