Ohio State wins National Championship 42-20 over Oregon. I give them full credit, they earned it. Incredible victory after losing 2 starting QB's during the season. Wow.

Didn't watch the whole game but from what I've seen, I think we could have beaten Ore.  Change a half dozen plays in the Sugar Bowl and we're NCs again.  You can come that close and miss it.
OSU shut down the Oregon offense and Oregon couldn't stop OSU's ground game.

OSU's defense was tough on Bama too.  Sure, you could change a few plays, Bama's interceptions, but Sims played similarly v. Auburn, and OSU is a much better team than Auburn.

OSU is the deserving Champion.

Bama is probably No. 2, or 3 if you give TCU credit for their dominating bowl win.

Florida State didn't deserve to be in the playoffs, they weren't that good, finally exposed v. Oregon.  But what can the committee do with the former, undefeated champion.  Just shows that last's years BCS Bowl was a joke, those weren't the two best teams.

Congrats to OSU.  With Urban Meyer and a young team, they're going to be tough for the next several years, might be the next dynasty unless Bama can do something about it.

I have a feeling that OSU is gonna have their hands full with Michigan as long as Harbaugh stays for a while.

With those two coaches, might one suggest that the Big10 is back?

For the first time in over 45 years, the Big Ten might actually have 4 competitive teams: Ohio St., Michigan, Wisconsin, & Michigan State. We'll see.

Well, you knew the Big10 was down when Wisconsin and Michigan State were winning the conference.

The 42-20 score was closer than the game. OSU turned the ball over 4 times. That is the only reason the game did not get totally out of hand.

Exactly what I told my wife last night. Without the turnovers OSU wins 49-10, easy.

Is it just me, or did anybody else think it was totally classless for OSU to score their final touchdown?  Oregon had stopped using their timeouts, and there were 40 seconds left in the game.  OSU was up by 15.  What was the point in that last touchdown?  I remember Urban Meyer doing that sort of thing when he was at Florida, and that's one reason why I just don't have much respect for him.

Screw Oregon. I am glad Ohio State scored the late TD. Oregon will put up 60 points on a team and never consider backing off in a blowout. They deserved it.

Absolutely unnecessary, but Oregon loves to pour it on helpless teams, too.

I think that running the score up is classless no matter who does it.  The only possible exception to this is if it's done to the barn.  I'm joking about the part about the barn (maybe).

I don't think they were running up the score.  I just think Oregon couldn't stop them.

But didn't OSU need a first down or something to finish running out the clock?

I agree with those who have no sympathy for Oregon, they'd do it in a heartbeat.
