Tide in 2012 recruiting; in other words, Bama's rolling again

Speaking of Jameis Winston . . .

The Hueytown quarterback spent the past week in California at the Elite 11 camp, going up against Kiel, Auburn commitment Zeke Pike and other national blue chippers in a mix of passing drills and classroom work.

If anything, Winston's stock just soared even higher. He finished tied for first in the competition featuring 24 of the nation's best prep quarterbacks.

"He's the best combination of athleticism and arm talent this class has," said ESPN analyst Tom Luginbill. "He is extremely adept at adapting to what's taught.

"I don't think there's any question he's a hot commodity. He has proved that at every turn and hasn't shied away from competition."

Many believed Winston would make his college declaration this week or next.

Thus, when the class of 2012 is signed, sealed and delivered, Alabama could have yet another Top Three class nationally.

"This class would have as much star power, if not more, than the Julio (Jones') class," said Tim Watts, the recruiting analyst for BamaOnLine.com.

We have to be very careful with this siuation. He is a probable first round choice in the MLB draft and I don't see him hanging around.

I don't know, but I trust CNS in recruiting, but why does he not go ahead and take Kiel who wants to be here. Sounds as if he is willing to work hard to be the best he can be also. I am not sold on Winston and him having million of dollars in his face! RTR!

I trust CNS.  Maybe he and Kiel already have a verbal agreement, and CNS is staying in Winston's ear to make sure he takes that MLB money instead of going to a rival school.
