Pending player approval.  I dont really understand but I hope it works.

Quote
Players still had to sign off on the deal -- and they must re-establish their union, the NFL said. Players didn't vote on a full pact Wednesday because there were issues that had not been resolved. They planned to have a conference call later Thursday.

"Hopefully, we can all work quickly, expeditiously, to get this agreement done," Commissioner Roger Goodell said. "It is time to get back to football. That's what everybody here wants to do."

My brother is staying at the same hotel where all this is taking place. He's seen them all come in. He also said Jerry Jones is a jerk the way he talks to people.

All the talk was upbeat and positive. I guess we have either no Pro football or we will end with a 10 or 12 game schedule when they finally settle.

Maybe this is a good reason to not pay college players.  They become millionaires, then they want the farm.

Before you start, I know, I know.  The owners want it all too.  Tongue Tongue

I'm reading other sites saying the players have not yet voted.   Huh?

I think the odds are pretty good that a miracle will happen in the next few days, because neither the owners or players are stupid enough to think the fans will stand for this crap, if it cuts into, or cancels the season.

Most of the players need their paycheck. Everyone doesn't make Peyton Manning money and endorsements. A deal will be made.

What will the fans do--boycott? Fat chance. If the Tide took a dump in my dinner bucket after the Kent State game, I'd still go to the PSU game. I'd be sad though.

Uh, yeah. Just look at what happened to MLB. Their fan base still isn't what it was pre-strike, 17 years ago.

True.  ESPN worded it this morning as "Players' representatives indicated that the players likely would agree.  98% of the proposal meets the requirements, and the players need to discuss the other 2%."  (paraphrased)
