Good stuff coach, as always.

Does anyone know why we switched to JK Scott for kickoffs?  I think Grifith did the first few kickoffs of the game.

I think the announcers said he had a stronger leg and the coaches wanted to see what he could do.

Great job a always coach. Bozeman's situation may cause others to step up their game. Maybe you are behind Collins and he twists an ankle. Maybe you are behind DePriest and he gets his bell rung. Everyone has to be ready, at all times. Everyone has to know their job.

Excellent analysis as always, coach. Frankly, the transformation from last week to this week was just stunning. I can't recall seeing a team transform to that extent in just on week.

My hat's off to the players and coaching staff.

... amen.

... and we should thank A&M for their performance in an exciting afternoon.

... and kudos to Arkansas, a team that played its heart (completely) out.

My biggest takeaway from the game, for me, is the continuing improvement on the defense. I am so impressed by our huge improvement from game 1 (WV) to A&M. The LB's are looking good, the D-line has been steady with a decent pass rush, and the DB's seem more confident. I am very excited about this development and it could be a difference maker for the rest of the season.

I agree 100%.  While I was happy to see all the points, it was aTm after all.  But the fact that we shut them out was HUGE!

To me the biggest improvement thusfar has been by the DB's.  aTm has a qb with a really good arm and some really big receivers but we held them all in check for the most part.  Very proud of the entire team this week.

We were able to get really good pressure by only rushing 4.  That helped tremendously on the backend.

Yep, one thing about a good defense: when it works, it works.

One point I left off is how good it is to get the back ups significant playing time.

Yes, and I was glad to see them let Coker throw the ball some.  He has made a lot of progress since we last saw him.  We are going to need him ready to step in on a moment's notice if we are going to let Blake run the ball a little.  I think letting him take off a couple of times a game will really open things up a little.  You don't want to do it so much that he takes a beating, but if you can do it enough to give the defense something else that they have to worry about it will help open things up for the other playmakers.

That was awesome.  I think those were his personal stash.

@ hscoach -- I wanted to know if KD ever got those LDs to Coach.

@ SC -- We'll need Blake's running against LSU for sure.  They don't have the D-tackles of the past, but they have good DBs who'll cover man and run with the WRs (with backs to our QB).  We'll need Blake's legs.  Just hope he stays healthy for the run against MSU and the Aubs.

The energy and effort was very noticeable in the pass rush by the front 4. That's what we have been needing from the D-line.
