Running back Tyren Jones, who has missed the past two games with a finger injury, could be ready to play Saturday against Texas A&M but center Ryan Kelly is considered doubtful, Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban said after Wednesday's practice.

Kelly made his first appearance at a practice Wednesday since he injured his knee ....

"Bozeman's doing good, man," tight end O.J. Howard said Tuesday. "He has a lot of guys on the O-line that are picking him up, so that's always good for him. Bradley's a young guy, but he's playing good and he's very coachable."

Hopefully we won't need either of them.  Just run up a big lead, then let Coker get some playing time.

Unfortunately, we do need Kelly.

We really need Kelly. I'm hoping Bozeman shows big improvement over the last 2 weeks, but as OJ said, "he's young". We have enough problems on the "O" line as it is. They all need to step up Saturday. I think they will.

Playing a Big 12 defense should help the O-Line this week.

That's where I am with this.  We may have to out-score A&M, and we'll need a good O-line to keep up.

Yep.

It was a double whammy.  Not only did the Oline lose Kelly, but the offense lost Drake's blocking.

I think Drake's blocking was an area where he really improved over last year and it was a huge unsung asset to the team.  It is one of those things people do not tend to think about.  Oline blocks,  RB runs the ball.  Well, Rbs do a lot more than run the ball.

The combination of losing Drake and Kelly has really hampered this offense and it will be a struggle to overcome.

The Tam game will be interesting.  They can, and will, throw.  BAMA will have to stop them.

I have expressed my negative outlook (due to youth and injuries) for the remainder of the season so I will not bore anyone with a recap.

Just don't come back with, "I told you so".  It's one thing to give an opinion, and another to rub it in everyone's faces, as if nobody else thought of that half of the glass.

I would never gloat about BAMA losing.

I am hoping with all hope that I will be proven wrong.

Bad year in the SEC to have a young team suffering injuries to key players.
