I'm tired of hearing about their dominant D. We should have scored around at least 30-34 points if not for 8 untimely penalties on drives, dropped passes, and key injuries. This is nothing but a media myth and I ain't buying their BS.

Quote
The Rebels only allowed 17 points vs. No. 3 Alabama and contained QB Blake Sims by holding him to 228 yards passing, no touchdowns and one interception. Ole Miss did a good job of maintaining their assignments (like always) and gave Sims fits by playing zone coverage, while keeping a spy on him.

Enough about their defense.

Their offense moved the ball, and was an incredible 5/7 or some such in 3rd downs during the 4th quarter.

And their punter and kicker were even better than ours!

Geez who cares what Ole Miss did to Alabama last Saturday, that game is over. This subject has been dissected in every form or fashion and the score still hasn't changed.

You don't have to read these posts, plus you won't get a headache from slamming your head against the wall. Watch a good movie, go for a walk, eat a good meal, read a good book, and enjoy.

Folks are fascinated by what happened and are trying to find an answer. A lot of folks are frustrated, they think Alabama should never lose, no matter what.

In honor of the Arky game, I am smoking a Boston butt Friday.

I will enjoy consuming pulled pork Saturday with vigor.  Wink

I have a couple of racks of ribs just begging to be smoked. Think I'll break those bad boys out.

Does Arkansas play in the same league with Ole Miss? If so we better be ready cause they are going to be just as good. Time go slay some hogs. RTR!

arKansas will be tough for a while but I think the second half will be all Bama.  They have a very good running game but hardly any passing attack.  Also their defense is not up to the normal SEC type defenses either.

I think one thing that hasn't been discussed from the loss to Ole Miss, is how good their secondary is, and how much it contributed to their win.  Not only in pass coverage, but also as to how well they got off of stalk blocks and played the run.  Anyone else notice?  Sometimes it's hard to get the full picture watching on TV because you don't always see the entire field.

Well, I thought I might spur some good conversation about defensive back play from someone who was at the game.  The article heading for this thread doesn't really get into it much, other than some general comments, where my post has been relegated to the relative obscurity of reply #12.

Lol! I just now saw your post.

I was at the game and yes, their secondary is extremely good. I can only remember a couple of plays where Sims missed seeing a receiver that was open. Ole Miss' defense is going to keep them in a lot of games. If Bo Wallace gains some consistency in his passes, they could go a long way.

NOW, ON TO ARKANSAS!!!
