I have never been comfortable watching Blake Sims play in unpredictable fits and starts although he has unusually good instincts.  It is nerve wracking.

All season, Blake has been called "brilliant"....so what do I know....maybe he is.  I guess Ole Miss just has a better team than Alabama this year. 

But for me, I miss the calm, uncharismatic "game manager" quarterbacks who managed to get the job done.....as we knew they would.

I think the effort is there because CNS has said many times that he really likes the team and how hard they work.  He has also said that the fans will need to be patient with them and give them time to develop.  So we will see if they are able to do that the rest of the way.  If they can, then we might be OK.  If not, then we will drop a few more games most likely.

#2, #3, #4, and #6 have lost.  #5 is playing LSU as we speak.

Yep, other losers included #14 & #17 plus #8 has a tough game tonight and #10 plays #19. It ain't over till it's over and the fat lady ain't singing.

I had forgotten about CNS saying that.  I guess how well we do from here on out depends on how our guys continue to develop.  This football season may turn out to be crazier than 2011.

Time for Blake Sims to silence the critics!

Why he did so good, especially at throwing the ball low, behind, and over players, except for Ole Miss's players, he tended to hit them right on the numbers. That and running around going backwards, or running for the first down and diving for it 4 yds short.
Of course add in the DB's and well... you get what we had here today.
Then throw in the costly penalties and the fumble; but I still can't figure out why when they were running the ball so well  and then on third and short they would try to get cute in the play calling and lose yards.
Could be a long season ahead.
Oh well flame away and Roll Tide Anyway.

Unfortunately, Bama doesn't have that QB this year.

I don't see any of these going undefeated except maybe Baylor but they play Oklahoma. We have a lot to still play for. My biggest concerns are the impact of the injuries to us. That could be what sinks our ship. How do you replace Drake, White, a starting center, etc.?
