Eli Manning likes Ole Miss' chances against Alabama

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- If this were the New York Giants' bye week, quarterback Eli Manning would be in Oxford, Mississippi, on Saturday watching his alma mater take on No. 3 Alabama in one of the top college football games of the weekend. Instead, with the Giants playing at home the next day, Manning plans to park himself in front of his flat screen at 3:30 pm ET to watch No. 11 Mississippi try to pull off the big win.

"I think we have a good chance," Manning said Thursday after Giants practice.

Gonna be a tough game.  OM will be super fired up and Bama must be ready to play from the first snap.  No slow starting here or we'll be behind by 14 before we get in gear.  Bama needs to get ahead and stay ahead to take the crowd out of the game ASAP and deflate the Rebs.

Of course Eli likes OM's chances.  He went and played there so what would anyone expect?  Does anyone think that Greg McElroy, Brodie Croyle, Joe Namath or any other former Bama QB would honestly think Bama doesn't stand a chance to beat OM?  Just another story with nothing to say...
