I'm guessing Beniquez follows his Florence Falcon teammate to Mississippi State.  By all accounts he actually grew up an Auburn fan.

Lots of talk about Robert Nkemdiche (DE), who is likely the #1 recruit for 2013.  His hs coach is a former Bama player.  This guy is a stud.

Plenty of info about him:

My son told me last night that someone on BOL had posted that Bama will be getting Deon Bush, safety, from the Miami area. We all know about recruiting rumors so I guess we can sit and wait on this one.

That would be a pretty good pull if we can get him.

The 38-10 win over Florida might be even bigger than it first appeared.  Florida had assembled a large number of 2012 and 2013 recruits for the game, and they saw Alabama showcase itself, not the intended UF show.

Here's the way it was billed pregame:
Quote
It's Florida vs. Alabama. In prime-time. On Saturday night. Naturally, this is going to be a game where prospects from all over the state of Florida (and the rest of the Southeast for that matter) are going to show up in droves to attend. The #12-ranked Gators head into the weekend hoping to knock off #2-ranked Alabama. But they're also hoping use the SEC battle as a showcase game to recruits as to why they should attend the University of Florida in the future. Much like the Florida State-Oklahoma game was two weeks ago in Tallahassee, this is the big-ticket game for a vast number of recruits on Saturday.

Barry J. Sanders of Heritage Hall: Top 50 Recruit

Now a powerful 5-foot-11 and 195 pounds, Sanders runs 40 yards in an outstanding 4.31 seconds and probably will finish his career with most of the Heritage Hall rushing records.

Sanders is ranked as the No. 2 running back and No. 10 overall player in the nation by CBS/MaxPreps recruiting analyst Tom Lemming.

Lemming says that Sanders "Shows remarkable balance, vision and speed, plus the ability to break tackles. As competitive and confident as they come, he can turn a game around with one play. He accelerates as quick or quicker than any other back in the country."

The highly sought Sanders, who carries a 3.39 GPA, has narrowed his college list to Alabama, Florida State, Stanford and LSU. Sanders says his decision will rest on "mainly just the environment and academics." He is expected to announce his college choice at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Jan. 7, 2012, at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

I'm with you, 2.  He's a kid we really wanted, and I thought we had a really good shot with him.
