Can someone explain this article.  How can we have 100 offers for 2015?  What kind of 'offers' are they at this point?

Thanks.

They extend many offers every year, but of course only a certain percentage accept. I'm guessing they calculate that only about 10-25 percent will accept. I would also think that out of that 100, their efforts are only concentrated on a select few, with others at that position as 2nd or 3rd choices if they don't land their first or 2nd choice.

Vigor running back Desherrius Flowers (No. 94).

Flowers was one of four Alabama commitments to make the top 100, joining Columbus (Ga.) Carver defensive end Mekhi Brown (No. 29), Tucker (Ga.) defensive end Jonathan Ledbetter (No. 84) and Orange (Texas) West Orange-Stark safety Deionte Thompson (No. 97). Ledbetter (6-4, 254) made a huge jump in the rankings, moving up 120 spots, which Rivals attributed to his performance at the Under Armour combine in January. ...

Martez Ivey

Ivey, a 6-foot-6, 280-pound five-star offensive tackle from Apopka, Fla., is set to visit Alabama on Friday and Auburn on Saturday this weekend.

"Just trying to figure out why they always get the best players," Ivey told 247Sports of the Crimson Tide. "That's what I want to know. Obviously it's something they are doing down there."

Leo Lewis (LB)

Brookhaven HS/Brookhaven, MS

One of the most highly-touted members of what's shaping up to be an impressive crop of talent in Mississippi in 2015, Lewis picked up an offer from Alabama in early February at the Crimson Tide's first Junior Day event and came away impressed with what he saw in Tuscaloosa. Mississippi State and Ole Miss won't likely let this home-grown star go without a fight.

re. Jovon Robinson

Quote
"There has been a lot of interest from a group of schools," Williams said. "I would say there's a lot of mutual interest between Jovon and Alabama. He really likes the way they use their running backs and the production they've had under Nick Saban. I would say there's also been a lot of interest from Georgia, Florida State and TCU, as well as some from Tennessee."
