What is the point of your 100% negative post.

Giving my $0.02 and posing a question (Grant's success w/ Gottfried's players v. Grant's success w/ Grant's players) for thought that also provides perspective on Grant's tenure (diminishing returns on investment.

Are you saying Grant should have kept an under performing senior with a poor work ethic and discipline problems?
That would be like a university keeping a coach who continues to lose more games than the previous year and whose team regresses while coaches at smaller less advantaged schools excel against the same competition.

Nobody would want that.

I agree about him getting a sixth year based on almost no achievements. I disagree about a viable candidate being available. There are several coaches worth looking at. good point about his recruits, but I think it's an issue of not developing talent.

Dog

Circumstances do not always lend themselves to qualified candidates being viable options.

The rumor is he flunked out of school. Spring semester grades were recently posted so that could explain the timing.

First of all, I appreciate your posts. We need folks who have different opinions and aren't always pumping sunshine in the middle of a tornado. We have a wide-range of folks and opinions here, so don't be gun-shy & keep posting your thoughts.

Nick Jacobs will transfer to Georgia Tech. He will have to sit out a year and have one year of eligibility remaining.

He is from the Atlanta area. I hope being close to home will help him get his head on straight. He was full of potential and appeared to have a high ceiling when he came to Alabama. Maybe some of the blame goes to CAG and the staff for not helping reach his potential but it appeared to me he was slow, over weight, lazy and not willing to do the hard work.

Good point. Maybe he has some of those tutors from North Carolina.

 Cheesy

That was a low blow, very cold, and right on the money (pardon the pun). Well, played, sir.
