Am i reading this right??  With 83 football players on the official 2013 roster, 18 of them listed as seniors, only Blake Sims is scheduled to graduate this semester?  I know that some graduated early, and others will finish in a different semester, but this just seems odd.

Good to see that Terrence and Andre stuck with it.

AJ Starr also graduated. He is the football trainer that AJ McCarron befriended who has cerebral palsy.

He is the only one graduating this spring. Including Sims we will have 12 scholarship football players on next years roster that have already graduated. It does seem odd more did not graduate this semester.

58 athletes from 16 sports did graduate. Click here for link

Having watched Royal play his Jr. High and high school ball at Tuscaloosa County, I am amazed and happy for him. This guy was so bad with his academics and he stayed on the very edge of getting kicked off the football ball team not only for academics but for discipline reasons as well. I think he was suspended the last games of football his senior year for shoving a coach.

I'll never forget the day I was in the dressing room at Northport Jr High and this big young man came walking by and I asked Coach Sonny Aaron who was the new coach and he laughed and said he was Andre Royal, a ninth grader. He was trouble even at that age per Sonny, but he could play football.

Congrats to him for it seems he has a better vision now of what it takes to succeed in life, an education.  Applause E-Cred
