As for Manziel, Mayock said he was won over by Manziel's performance during his pro day workout. Teddy Bridgewater, whom Mayock previously had at the top of the list, had a lackluster pro day performance and slipped to third on Mayock's list behind Manziel and Central Florida's Blake Bortles.
"He's got extremely good arm strength -- better than most people think, every bit as good as Derek Carr or Bortles," Mayock said of Manziel. "Mechanically, he can make every throw in the pocket -- five-step, five with a hitch, seams, outs, it doesn't matter, he can make the throw. So I came away from the Pro Day pleasantly encouraged that if you want to buy into the whole package, he mechanically can make every throw...
And, BTW, he moved Clinton-Dix above Louisville's Calvin Pryor as the top safety prospect.
