Well, apparently 5 NFL teams are looking to move to LA. I wonder if this isn' a tactic to scare their cities into building them new stadiums along with other incentives?

I think that may be true for four of the five, but the Jaguars have less fan support than the Marlins.  I'd wanna move if I were them.

Well Los Angeles has always been a big draw for football it is a known fact that they need an NFL team. I would have thought the big stadium where USCw plays would be big enough though. RTR!

That stadium is the LA Coliseum which was built in the 1930's. The have been needing a modern stadium for a while, especially with luxury boxes and other conviences.

Pictures of proposed new LA stadium.

3 years ago then Gov Arnold Schwarzenegger and state legislature pass bills into laws prohibiting environmental groups from running impact studies at the site of proposed stadium in LA.

The studies would have delayed stadium  construction for years. Environmental groups would have imposed restrictions on project and mandated strict guidlines to follow during construction to minimize any damage to the environment.

The proposed stadium would only seat 70 thousand fans, and the architecture style is modern with one side of the stadium with a large sweeping grandstand and the other side is a small grandstand and hundreds of stacked sky boxes.

It is kind of like the way the architect designed Phillips Arena, only for an outside NFL stadium.

I just love Bryant Denny. It is the best college stadium in all of the country, and it rivals many NFL stadiums with the 159 sky boxes.

This last addition to Bryant Denny for the South Zone, plus the 4 flat screens, sound system, renovations to rest of stadium including bathrooms and concession stands, etc. cost $86 million.

 Cool

How pathetic that a city with a population of around 10 million in a 30 mile radius can't even fill a football stadium.

Its an interesting design, to say the least. The entrance through that man-made hillside into the stadium is actually kind of cool. I'm just not sure that I like the dimensions of the stadium.

Of course it is, but they're dealing with politicians, almost none of whom know ANYTHING about  business. Then, the politician gets spooked, votes for outrageous funding and benefits for an owner who may be a billionaire, and the fans (taxpayers) are stuck with the bill. It has happened countless times. I expect to see more and more taxpayers voting against these stadiums, whether it's NFL. NBA, or MLB.
