Danny Sheridan on Finebaum Drops a Couple of Huge OSU & Auburn Rumors

At the start of his interview with Finebaum Sheridan unloaded a couple of items he has been told by infomed sources. The first concerned Ohio State. He said thee is still significant information which will come out regarding players receiving money, and that we have only seen a little of what is to come. He said Pryor was drving a Mercedes while in high school as an example. He also said that a TV ban was on the table for Ohio State. No team as been penalized with a TV for like 15 years.

The 2nd item concerned Cam. He said that the NCAA is conducting a major investigation to find out if Cam received any money to play for Auburn.

I'm as conviced as anybody on this board that "consideration" was exchanged to get $Cam to go to the Barn.  The money trail runs from Ala/Ga to Michigan and back to Cecil in Ga.  But I doubt NCAA will be able to prove it.  And I'm not convinced that Sheridan's sources as NCAA know what they are talking about, i.e. I'm not convinced that NCAA is sill looking into this matter.

But -- I think/hope that the increased scrutiny will put a crimp in the Barn's past ways of doing things, and that that will make recruiting harder for them.  That is the best I can realistically hope for.
