It came as an awful surprise,
To our coach, so weathered and wise,
That the second he saved
Was the path that was paved
Which led to our season’s demise.

We hoped for another Van Tiff,
And we had a kid called Griff,
But I am so sad to report
that his try came up short
And now our trophy Auburn will lift.

The One Tick Kick

After AJ passes to Cooper for 99,
Perhaps he thinks to himself, "the Heisman Trophy is mine."

But that scrappy Auburn team once more came back
with a tricky run play... no it's a pass attack.

Again Bama gets the ball for one final try
before all our 3-peat dreams say goodbye.

On a couple of draws Yeldon twice ran hard,
Then Coach Saban played his card.

The clock was down to only 1 tick,
So we had to try for a miracle kick.

Unfortunately the kick was short by a yard,
And on the return we let down our guard.

Davis caught the the ball then ran to the left,
and for our big tacklers, he ran with much deft.

Foster the fake fans wanted to hang,
but a true fan knows that it is a team game.

Bandwagon fans can get off here,
but the true fans will be back next year.

One final thought I proclaim with pride,
Auburn when we see you again it will be all ROLL TIDE!
