A Convert for AJ Winning the Heisman-Good Article

Good read and common sense approach. This is the best story I have read about AJ & the Heisman. Read entire story, interesting comments about Manziel & McCarron.

And AJ McCarron’s greatness takes a little time to grasp, appreciate, accept. Are we taking the time? Because Robert Griffin III and Johnny Manziel won the past two Heisman trophies, and more and more this award has been reduced to which quarterback wows most on highlight shows.

It needs to be more. The Heisman isn’t an ESPY.

McCarron should win this year’s Heisman. I’ve come around. I’ve changed. He’s the best quarterback who never loses a game. He doesn’t cause trouble off the field. He doesn’t make mistakes on it.

He deserves it. No fan of Alabama but the man never loses. I do not care that the rest of his team is studs. He doesn't turn it over, doesn't put his team in bad situations, and never freaking loses. He is going to end his career with more National Championships then loses. That is insane! Give him the trophy and be done with it.

But it isn’t fair to punish him for being a team player. For staying out of trouble. For defining himself by selflessness. For listening to his coach.

One thing for sure, character of AJ will stand immensely above all the accolades he will ever get. Should he be Blessed with another Championship, then who will the northern voters say is the best, maybe they pull another rabbit out of a pile. RTR!

Very good article, it is definitly not the norm that we read daily. A player's good character is hardly mentioned anymore, just his stats.
