19 have settled.  "At least 31" have come forward.  Those numbers are bigger than I expected.  And yeah, that's going to be a conservative estimate. 

Explain again why the NCAA is reducing their sanctions?

I didn't realize there were so many victims. This guy is worse than a scumbag

Everyone knew there were more victims than the ones willing to testify. It would be hard to admit in public you had these terrible things done to you. Now they can come forward in private and get some compensation that will allow them to get professional counseling and the help they need to live a normal and productive life.

The really scary thing is 31 may be the tip of the iceberg. How many of the victims will never come forward due to many reasons, wanting to forget the ordeal, extreme embarrassment, or other reasons. Sandusky did not become a child molester at the age of 45, he would have been doing these things many years earlier, that's the pattern of child molesters. Penn State got off easy in my view. i hope those administrators go to prison.

You can add Penn State to that as well. How many more kids would there have been had the Asst Coach not blown the whistle on that idiot and those who knew about it.
