USC fires Lane Kiffin

Kiffin fired mid-season.

Quote

Southern California head football coach Lane Kiffin was fired Sunday morning, just hours after the Trojans lost to Arizona State.

The Trojans fell to 3-2 overall and 0-2 in Pac-12 play with a 62-41 loss in Tempe on Saturday night.

USC athletic director Pat Haden informed Kiffin of his dismissal upon the team's arrival in Los Angeles early Sunday morning.

This did not not surprise me at all. Pat Haden always was a QB with patience and he played that patience on Kiffin. He knew he only had a small window and he would get to fire him. We all know Pat Haden didn't like hin when he came on board as AD but now to pick ED Orgeron as interim coach is kind of surprising. I guess we shall see. RTR!
