Goose pond colony golf course

Anybody ever play the course. I am getting a chance to play it on Wednesday. What is it like. I have never been there.

Never been on the golf course.  The Docks restaurant is as nice as you are going to find in that area.

I have never played golf there either.  I would much rather fish than golf.

When you go there watch your step.  There are a lot of geese and you know what they leave behind don't you?  Wouldn't want to step in Johnny Manziel there...

Have played this course a lot. Close to home. Fun course, great views. Lots of water. Only a couple of the holes really have water "in play" but that doesn't always stop me from donating a ball or two. For the most part, it is really just a standard length/difficulty course. Just watch out for goose crap and have fun!

I like playing Goose Pond. It is a fun course. The lake only comes into play on about three holes but the water provides a beautiful background. There are a few ditches and ponds that also have water that will eat up a bad shot. The mountains across the lake are also nice. It is not long and you can shoot a good score if you stay in the fairway. I have not played there lately but they used to keep it well maintained. I think you will like it.

Helpful hint: Number 2 is par 5 with an uphill tee shot that is straight forward. Your second shot will go over the top of the hill will the green straight downhill from there. Your second shot will be blind. There is a bank to the left. You need to favor that side. If you hit the middle of the fairway everything will go right and will run out of the fairway into trouble. I have seen people hit what looked like perfect shots and end up in trouble. A ride to the top of the hill will help, in fact you need to do that anyway since you can not see the group in front of you clear the fairway.
