Here's an even better way to both bait him - and expose him:

"I'll donate the money to the charity of your choice"

Win-win.  When he refuses, he'll not only come across as having something obvious to hide, but is absolutely unwilling to put his(charity's) money where his mouth is. 

He couldn't possibly appear any more of a scam-bag than he already is...but to refuse to donate $1,000,000 to charity?   What?
