Happy Tuesday! There was a nice chill in the air when I left for the pool early this morning. Praying the damage from Ian isn’t as bad as it looks like it might be.

I just finished watching the Apple TV+ series ‘Five Days at Memorial’ about the aftermath of Katrina at one hospital where 45 patients died. Lots of questions remain about what happened at that hospital, but it’s scary to realize how quickly society can descend into chaos and anarchy.

Howdy folks.  A co-worker of mine was watching this radar site, https://weather.cod.edu/satrad/ this morning.  It shows the storm really well.  He is also a licensed meteorologist and he said that once the storm leaves Cuba and goes into the GOM  that the water temps, high 80's to low 90's, will cause it to further strengthen at least for a while.  Prayers for anyone in it's path.

@ Bamaphil, did you get the email I sent to you?  Thoughts on what the attachment said?

I missed it yesterday, but went back and found it. Thanks for sharing. I’ve had some of those concerns, and will have to make some decisions if it’s something my child wants pursue further as she gets older.
