It's Fat 2's Day. Someone please pass the pancakes. And summer officially arrives on March 20.   Applause E-Cred

We're having red beans and rice for lunch.  And gumbo.  Wish we had king cake, but "NOOOOO".

Yes sir it is Alabama wait 5 minutes and it will change. rofl, RTR!
On Saturday I took Runt hiking to The Walls of Jericho up near the 10rSea state line.  It started raining just as we arrived at the falls.  I waited, and waited.  It rained the rest of the day and all the next day.    We were cold, wet and tired when we got back to the trailhead...

I was just looking at that hike recently, NALT.  I don't think I could make it right now, but it's on my list for hopefully later in the year.  The last two miles coming back in are supposed to be rough in general...I sure hope y'all were wearing some good footwear!

Coming out IS tough.  We both had good footwear too thankfully.  I highly recommend this hike but it definitely DOES NOT need to be the first one if someone is wanting  to get into hiking.  It is one that you need to "work up to" before trying it. I hope you can do it soon.  When/if you do decide to try it let me know if you want some company and maybe I can break away and do it again.  I am going to be traveling again in a couple months and there are some really good hikes that I'd like to do while there.  This one would be good practice for at least one of those.

Happy fasting Camel Day.......well, if the camel is Catholic.

I spoke with Jamos yesterday. All is well in his world. Chech, If I had brought kung cake yesterday, would I have gotten red beans and rice and gumbo?

Guess I should have updated, but after lunch I took a nap.

It was an Oxford fundraiser.  We picked up our meals, then sat outside on the deck and ate 1) red beans and rice, 2) dirty rice, 3) chicken gumbo (I'd rather have seafood gumbo), 4) French bread, AND 5) KING CAKE!!

I was stuffed.  LF saved half of hers and ate it for dinner.  We would have shared, 2, especially had you shown up with king cake!

Happy Hump Day and Ash Wednesday to those of you who observe it in your religions.  Something tells me that Catholicism isn't the prevailing religion amongst camels.

I want some red beans and rice now!
