Grizzly sow and cubs.  They look docile here, but an hour later a pair of Canada Geese got too close to the cubs, and this happened:

Cool pic of the grizzlies.  I really hope to go there someday to see the pacle.

Here are some pics that I took yesterday on my hike to a waterfall in Waimea canyon.

This is a small pool near the top of the very tall series of falls.  The pool was deep enough that some people were diving into it.


Another small falls down stream from the pool maybe 50 yards.


I basically turned 180 degrees to take this pic. It is just before the first HUGE drop.


This is looking over the edge to the bottom of the first large falls to a plateau.  You can see the water as it is about to take another very large plunge to the next plateau.


Each of the two large falls are probably 100-150' drop, maybe even higher. This was the farthest point of the 1.9 mile hike down into the canyon.  There were points in the hike where the ledge was just a few feet away and one could easily slide right over the edge to their next life if they aren't careful. Absolutely stunning views...

Yesterday was crazy good at YNP.  I saw lots of wolves and 16 GRIZZLIES!  Today it's snowing!

A lot of active bears for sure, Chech. While you're getting snow, we'll be in the 90s this weekend.

Well, we've all sent out the Preacher signal, so maybe he'll be on soon.

Happy Saturday errbody. The softball team no-hit, run-ruled Ala. St. yesterday 9-0. I saw Mr. and Mrs. Jamos behind home plate last night making sure Ole Blue was doing his job properly. 

They have a much tougher test today, going up against a very good Clemson team.

The baseball team is in a bit of a tailspin. They lost again last night at home to Miss. St. 7-0. That was their 6th loss in the last 7 games. They'll make it to Hoover, but unless they do some winning there, they may not go any further.

I went on an easy 5 mile hike today along Shipwreck Beach.  The water is incredibly beautiful with many shades of blue water.  The pics I took simply don't do justice to how beautiful the place is.
