Fort Pickens Road still closed.

And yesterday this report:
"I spent all day on Navarre Beach Access 38C and all I got was a bluefish and 2 hardheads."

Why is Ft Pickens Rd closed?

Still covered by sand from the hurricane.

I'll be darn. Didn't think it was strong enough to have that much effect.

Good morning folks.  Cool here but supposed to warm to near 60 today.  I took today off so I can attend my youngest son's Beta Club induction ceremony.  After that Mrs. Nalt and I are planning on going to Red Lobster for lunch.  Back to work tomorrow though but I do have an appointment at 7:02 to see what the doctor wants to do about my torn labrum.  I'm expecting surgery.  Hope you do get to go play golfball today 2.  Chech, I'd like to see that knife you are making.  I bought a knife kit a year or so ago.  All I have to do is put handles on it.  I have them cut but still need to fasten them to the blade and do a little sanding and finish work...  My problem is that I have too many "projects" to work on.  I need to focus on finishing them all one at a time...

Sorry to hear about your friend, 2.  Indeed, been a tough year.

The practice field was short a few players yesterday.  Ruggs was banged up against MSU, and Minkah isn't practicing.  We're limping toward the Iron Bowl.

Went to an auction last night in Ecru, MS.  I bought a few old tools, but not much else.  Sat in a traffic jam for 30 minutes on Hwy 15 as rescue people dealt with an accident (car plowed into cars stopped at traffic light; TEXTING!!).

Good morning, CRS. 

We had light rain yesterday afternoon, and it's cloudy and warmer this morning (56 degrees).  But no rain expected today.

I visited with an elderly guy yesterday at his home.  His wife died a few years ago, and he wanted me to visit and help him estimate value of some collectibles.  His house is full of toy cars, ceramics, and such.  I wasn't much help with most of it.  But I listened to his stories about the items, including details of the many lizard-skin boots he bought while in Europe.  Anyhow, despite being a lifelong Ole Miss fan he had this lapel pin (below) on his chest of drawers. I asked about it, and he said it was a gift from a friend of his daughters.  Anybody ever seen one like this?
