What a fun Saturday of football.  Bama won in a rout, and Bryce established himself as a Heisman favorite.  All the SEC teams played pretty well, and tonight we watch LSU.  Florida knocking off Utah was icing on the cake.

BTW, watch the Utah TE (receiver) during that interception that ended the game.  He fell down, then begged for interference. Watch at about 1:50 of the video.

Morning, CRS! Bryant-Denny was nice last night. The weather was perfect, the team looked great, and our seats were the best I've had in BDS (30 yard line, row 13 on the Utah St side). I've never seen so many empty seats though. I don't know if it's people not being able to get excited for cupcakes anymore or economic factors (we spent close to $75 for parking, food, and a Coke Zero with free tickets), but back in the miserable days of Fran, Price, and Shula when I was a student and recent grad there were never empty seats even for the weakest opponents.

My wife still doesn't understand anything at all about football or its place in our culture. The child enjoyed her first experience. She doesn't understand much either, but she likes celebrating touchdowns with me and was entertained by the rest of the spectacle.

Glad you were able to attend and had good seats.

Why empty seats?  Maybe season ticket holders have grown complacent with winning.  But my experience has been that many folks enjoy watching at home as much or more than in the stadium.  Nice to be among the crowds, but covid and overcrowding have spoiled the thrill a bit.

Great game from our standpoint, and not any injuries that I saw (at least none that were bad).  Our Oline needs work for sure, but give Utah State credit; their defense is a tough one to prepare for.  We'll see it again against Tennessee.

Pretty impressive effort by Bama, particularly when they were very vanilla in what they did. Let's see what they pull out of the play bag next week against Texas.
