I went to Dismals Canyon yesterday for a hike with my daughter. Very scenic. It was a nice easy hike. The terrain was not very rugged like some other places we have been in North Alabama. It was a short hike at 1.5 miles so we did it twice. Normally we hike for 5 miles or longer so that was a little draw back for us but some people prefer the shorter hikes. You also have to pay. It is worth the visit. Not the best for a long hike but by far the most scenic.

Good Monday morning! I'm back from Santee, SC. Had a lot of fun, even though my back wouldn't cooperate. Played poorly but that's ok, it was a great time.

I heard from Jamos. He went to the A Day game. He said we're pretty raw compared to last year's team. He's looking for improvement in the fall. I like our chances.

I heard from Jamos. He went to the A Day game. He said we're pretty raw compared to last year's team. He's looking for improvement in the fall. I like our chances. 

Thanks for translating J's report.    I'm optimistic too, what with all the talent and an impressive QB.  I predict that Malzahn will announce that Bryce Young is the leading Heisman contender.

I watched it recorded too.  Friggin' ESPN took the game off with 9 min left in the 4th Q.  They put on a recorded show.  WTF??  Nice to be able to watch it, but the announcers were watching from Atlanta, so they were often lost about the activities.  Unless it was on the screen, they had no idea.

Well, it's Monday again.  My cousin whom I'm closest to lost her mother suddenly yesterday.   She'd gone to the local ER Saturday and was flown to UAB.   UAB performed surgery only to discover that he intestines "were dead."  They gave her 24hrs to live, and she didn't make it that long.

Life is fragile, folks.
