Good morning.  Hopefully 2 made it safely back to S Carolina.

Another beautiful day yesterday, and lots of birds to report.  I put photos on FaceBook, but will post a couple here.  Best day yet for migrating birds in our area.  It was the first day we've seen grosbeaks and tanagers, but also saw phoebes, numerous warblers, vireos, and much more.  Excellent day.


Blue Grosbeak up close.  First time I've ever seen one in our yard.

Good morning.

I just noticed in the articles about Bama's scrimmage that Charlie Scott was indeed granted a waiver from the Air Force, so he will return to punt for us!  Woot.

I went to the Ole Miss baseball game last night.  Austin Peay got a home run by the leadoff batter.  That was it; OM won 13-1.  Best play was a super-high popup, which the Austin Peay pitcher settled under.  But as he raised his glove, the first baseman ran over him, and the ball fell onto them.  Funny.

Bama also won, beating Samford 19-3.  Woot again.
