[SUPERCOACH]

LOL. No, I didn't cut any trees down today or yesterday.  However, there was a dead Cedar tree in the woods next to the house that I let Runt cut down with a bow saw.  It was probably about 10" in diameter and took him about 5-6 hours to do so.  Part of the problem was that he wouldn't do it the way I tried to tell him.  Therefore, I let him do it his way to learn the difference.  The other part of the problem was that my bow saw is really dull.  I'll try and get a new blade for it so next time it won't be quite as tough for him...   We are going to slice the tree in disks diagonally and then insert hanger hooks into them to give as gifts.  They can be hung in the closet to help give clothes the nice aroma of cedar...  Preacher, I hope you are better this evening. 

You did tell him to cut with the blade, not the bow, right?

Indeed, the sun did come up this morning.  I watched it from I-81 in Virginia (Shenandoah Valley), and saw it rise over the mountains after a beautiful peach-colored sky.

We got home safely (13 hours on the road).  LOTS of wrecks and LOTS of troopers giving tickets, both in VA and TN.  No problem for us.  Traffic was pretty smooth except for a few spots near Knoxville and Nashville.

Safe travels, 2.  Enjoyed the tree-cutting story, NALT.  SC, keep trying!

Yes, NALT, the honey-do's will begin at daylight.  Our driveway and deck are covered in leaves.  And that's just the start!  It'll be a Monday.

Crazy news on coaching changes.  Tennessee seems to be imploding.  Florida didn't get their offensive genius, so they took Mullen.  Heaven knows who ends up at A&M.  And what will Miss State and Ole Miss do now?  Entertaining for sure.

Time for recruiting.  We need to line up some players for next year!

Good morning folks.  I am hearing that Ole Miss has removed the "interim" tag off of Matt Luke.  That shores them up until they can get past any NCAA sanctions.  Miss St. will just keep on being Miss St, probably just worse.  I'm not convinced that Mullen is the right person for the Gators.  I have heard that there were some in the AD department that didn't like him when he was OC for Meyer.  Not convinced that making him their HBC will make them like him now...  

Here is how I think the coaching searches should have gone.

Florida -- Bielemia
UcheaT -- McElwain
aTm     --  Jones
arKansas -- Phyllis from Mulga

Sumlin would probably be a good fit in the Big12 or Pac10 or whatever those conferences call themselves today...
