Good morning, all. 

Coffee tastes good this morning.  Even though the cool air hasn't reached here yet (it will tonight), it feels like fall.  But we need rain; very dry for weeks now.

Glad to finally see a post from 2, and hear he actually won $$ on the golf course.  That should pay for his gas for the drive to Tuscaloosa.  Hope some others of you can join us Saturday afternoon.  Red Elephant will join us, and (hopefully) Mrs RE will too.
 

I spent the day in lovely Memphis yesterday.  Just glad to escape safely.

I also talked with a friend of mine from Houston, TX.  He and I graduated from Alabama and spent time together during grad school.  His house wasn't flooded, thank goodness, but he said overall it's a mess in Houston.

59-0 again?  Doubtful, but our chances improved yesterday when we learned that Ole Miss will play their 3rd center for the game - injuries to the first 2 this year.

 

My cousin told me the same thing. He was fortunate enough also, that his house was spared, but he said the situation there in Houston is awful. Prayers to all of them, the people affected by Irma and Marie, and all the earthquake victims. September has been a rough month for a lot of people.

Looking forward to heading to Tuscaloosa tomorrow. It will be good to see everybody and catch up.

I forgot to mention in this thread that Ole Miss students are voting for a new mascot this week to replace the BEAR.  The LAND SHARK will be the clear winner.  They'll still be called THE REBELS, but a new mascot will roam (swim?) the sidelines.

Good morning folks.  GREAT to see you back online 2.  Hope you have a safe trip to Tuscaloosa and back.  I'm hoping to see at least 5 consecutive 59-0 wins for Bama.  That would get us up to the bi-week.  Chech, safe traveling to you as well.  Hopefully you guys can help keep the Tide rolling in...

In other news, Hugh Hefner passed away yesterday.  He was 91 y/o.  Here he is with one of my all-time favorite "bunnies."  Not that I've seen a lot of them mind you... Barbie Benton was, and still is a very beautiful woman.  That is her to Hugh's left.

Now the spiders are building for the winter and it was 58 degrees this morning. Gotta take Mrs Dottie back to the hip doctor today they will probably release her. The only thing bothering her now is the Arthritis in her back and it goes the back of her hip and legs. We know the Lord will take care of this though. You all have a great day.  RTR!

Yeah, ole Hef was an icon. I heard that in his earlier working days that he drank up to 30 Pepsis a day. I'd never be able to leave the bathroom.

Absolutely, Barbie was the best.  The press called her the Heffmate.
