Alabama's smallest incorporated town is McMullen in Pickens County with 10 residents. Next is Oak Hill in Wilcox with 26. I visited friends there when a kid and caught fat black grasshoppers to bring home to Tuscaloosa.

We suck at basketball.  Bloody sad.

I went fishing today.  Caught a bunch again on flyrod.  Here are the 2 bloody ones.  The first was a fine fish for a flyrod:





Prolly caught 30 bluegills and about 20 bass.  Fun fun, this retirement!

Indeed, they were fun.

And, yes they were bleeding.  Both took a hook in the gills. 
But before the Animal-Rights Folks complain, let me explain that I treated the injured bass with first aid, gave them each 12 oz of blood, chilled their gills and gave them antibiotics, then held them by the fins (for 30 minutes during a prayer service) before releasing them into the company of their families.

 Lots to get done today, and prolly not fishing.  It's been good fishing every afternoon, but too much planned today otherwise.

That basketball game last night puts to rest any talk of postseason royalty.  Just a shame to develop a program only to have it fall short.  Sick of saying 'next year' in basketball.

Football has a big recruiting weekend planned.  Lots of top talent is expected to visit the campus; expect numerous stories tomorrow summarizing the names and likelihood of signing.

Enjoy the day.  Supposed to be 79 here today, then COLD again after the front passes through late this afternoon.  Ugh.

Looks like spring is over.  It's cold and windy.  Back in the 30s already.
But spring returns on Tuesday, as does fishing!   



Hey, SC, why does she keep popping up in CRS?

Great day yesterday. J and I didn't stink up the golf course and Bama won everything except baseball. We will be watching the rowing team this morning. (yes, rowing)

Wish you were here, we had a big day yesterday, golf and softball and the weather was just perfect for all of it. We have another full day planned with an early breakfast in Northport at Buddy's Restaurant, they have the good country ham. We are going to watch the ladies rowing team first this morning, it will be a first for both of us and then it's baseball and softball for the rest of the day. We had a blast at the softball games last night as members and coaches from the other teams were seated around us, lots of laughs.

Again, wish you were here and be easy on the bass today.

Yes, wish I could have joined you.  LF is off at a symphony concert, so I could have escaped unnoticed.  But I had a doctor appointment, bloodwork, etc.

Good morning everyone.  Great to see Jamos checking in on the daily thread.  Looks like you guys really are having lots of fun.  Mrs. Nalt has a big day planned for us today too.  She wants to go to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center for something then later to the Shelby Center at UAH.  After that she wants to go over to Decatur to watch their Mardi Gras parade.  Maybe I can spend tomorrow afternoon doing absolutely nothing...
