Wow we don't have any rain yet. Chechem be careful this morning don't want any slip slidin away going. You're probably a good driver but I worry about those other guys out there. RTR!

Right you are, Preacher.
It was raining HARD.  I was driving along at 70 mph on Hwy 45 near Starkville, and A BLACK COW was standing in the road (a 4-lane divided highway).  The car to my right stopped completely, right in the highway.  I slowed, blew my horn, and it jumped off the road.  Then I called to report it.
Whew!

A fugitive from Lee County?

Speaking of a cow, it has rained all day like a cow you-know-whatting on a flat rock. It is just now starting to let up.

It's getting old in this hotel room. I'll be glad when everything is done in the house. Oh well, at least I get to go to T-Town Thursday and spend some quality time with some good friends.  Wink

Glad you didn't hit either the cow or the car that stopped to admire it Chech.

Speaking of cows, about 2 weeks ago a trucker was heading west through my town.  He topped a small hill and there were several cows standing right in the middle of the road.  He couldn't help but hit them then his truck veered off the road and overturned.  When the local farmer that owned them came along with some help they managed to corral seven cows that didn't get hit.  There was also seven that did.  Someone asked the farmer how many cows he had to which he replied, "15."  Well, seven caught plus seven hit = 14.  When the towing company raised the truck back onto it's wheels, yep, you guessed it.  There underneath the truck had been Ole #15...

Hamburgers anyone?

Well, I'd have been the hamburger meat if I'd hit that thing.

As a first responder, I once arrived at an accident where 2 guys in a pickup hit a horse.  It was a mess.  The driver ate the steering wheel, and the rider put his arm through the windshield.  That was down south of Mobile, where X lives.  Hitting livestock can be ugly.

Y'all be careful.

Hope the rain ends, and you're out of the Inn soon, 2.  Thanks again for the visit!

I enjoyed it too, Chech. Believe it or not, it is still raining. Just when it looked like it was about to clear out, it stalled and the rain is training. The guy in the next room is building an ark.

Good morning, you Bama fans!  Coffee

Well, 2, it's raining here too (despite the chance listed as "10%" this morning).  But it should end soon, and the highs through Friday are 72, 76, and 77.  Woot.  I can see bass fishing in my near future!

Alabama hosts UGA in basketball tomorrow night.  Wish I could go, but I have a doctor appt on Friday morning (ugh).  The game is on ESPN2.  Makes sense; 2 will be there!    Jamos is playing host.  Have fun, guys.

I watched Ole Miss beat Miss State last night (TV).  OM had the game in hand, but missed a critical free throw, State hit a 3-pointer, and they played OT.  OM won easily after that.  Horrid game to watch; turnovers, missed layups, missed free throws, poor clock mgt.  Saw that KY woke up in time to beat Mizzou, and the Aubs beat an inept LSU team.

Have a good day.  I'm heading outside to enjoy the warmth this afternoon.

BTW, the only report from the Pensacola Beach Fishing Forum said yesterday was excellent fishing (in the rain):

"... I normally fish 4 rods, but today I was only able to fish 2 because of the nonstop action!! I caught around 20 whiting, 10 catfish, and one pompano. The pompano was 14" fork and the largest whiting was 16" overall. I was using fresh peeled shrimp on my normal 2 hook rig."

Banging your head against the wall.

Good morning folks.  Not raining here at the moment but if it doesn't do so soon it is going to miss an excellent opportunity.  That fishing report makes me want to go down there and fish really bad... Maybe before too long...

It was that good Sunday morning.  I was alone, and consistently got bites on the 3 rods.  Mostly they stole bait, but it was nice to have so much action.

By Monday the sun was out, the surf was down, the water was clear, and 2 showed up to fish.  The fish were gone elsewhere.  That's fishing!

Looks like the rain is going to back up and hit us again. You should have stayed Chech. The conditions would be perfect today. Boy, did they ever miss the forecast here. Rain was supposed to end yesterday afternoon.

I'm ready to get back in our house. Our alarm clock this morning was a big blowout between husband and wife directly next door. Heathens!  Angry

Did you hear the dumpster truck at 4:30??

So, that couple is still there, eh?  Was the argument in Spanish?

I guess the dumpster truck was running late. It was more like 5:30.

I think I know why the husband was staying here. I would have to commit suicide if I was married to that. After banging on the door, she started whining in a voice that made nails on a chalk board sound pleasing. It was awful.

Morning gents. Another day, another .50 cents at the old job (inflation you know). Dreary day, but not much rain expected here in the Old Line State. Stay dry down there, and keep Chech away from the cows.
