Good morning, everybody.

This forum is dead today.  No new articles at all.  WTH??

The cold front passed through here last night, so now it's cool and clearing.  The rain is gone!  And the festival begins tonight.  LF and I will take our lawn chairs to the Oxford Square to enjoy the activities and artwork.

Sounds like fun!! Applause E-Cred

This week is the 5-year anniversary of the Tuscaloosa tornado.

 Sad

I watched everything unfold on the weather channel that day, and kept up with a lot that was going on within the Bama forums. It was chilling and a day that I'll never forget. J, gave me a tour of the path about a year later. It is indeed, a miracle no more lives were lost.

Good morning.  Coffee

Today will be a beautiful play day at the Double Decker Festival.  Jumping

Both baseball and softball teams lost in close games last night.  Bummer.

I've been reading the old "Tornado In-Game Thread" of March-April 2011.  Amazing how many tornadoes there were that spring.  The tornado that hit Tuscaloosa starts discussion at the bottom of page 10: Click here for link

The coverage on "Daily Thread" starts here:

Morning Chech! Coffee

I'm glad you are finally getting rid of the clouds and rain and can enjoy the festival as it should be enjoyed.

I read some of the storm link and there were some of our posters on there that have left us since that terrible day. I see TAZ's parents occasionally and they still mention our forum as being one of TAZ's best friends. Two of our kids have the pleasure of having not so happy of a birthday anymore, daughter was born on 9/11 and son was born on 4/27.

We are having a tailgate party at the softball game today honoring the alumni over the past 20 years, hopefully the score of the game will be better today. I wish all of you were here today to enjoy it with us.

Have a good day everyone and enjoy the warmer and dryer weather, spring has finally sprung. Pray Cheesy

I was surprised at the number of posters during 2011 are no longer "with us" too.  Several have died, but many just quit the forum.  I didn't remember how many we had back then!

Enjoy the games today, Jamos, and cheer (or complain) loudly.  Don't be bullied by those umpires!

I'll have to take time to read those again. It's a shame that tornadoes have to be a part of our lives here in the south. At least we don't have earthquakes and blizzards.

It's good to be home. I drove through a lot of rain yesterday, particularly from the SC/Ga state line all the way to Opelika. Driving through Atlanta was a real joy.

I hate both teams lost last night. Let's hope they have a better day today!

Good morning to all. I am glad all is home safe and today we can all enjoy a day of sunshine and laughter. I do hope our teams win today.
Revival week is over and it was great. Lordy do I wish I could have another week next week. We had a Pastor do something I never thought you all might like. He had us take a our finger and draw an imaginary circle around our body and inside that circle was where Revival starts. I had never thought of that. It was a good lesson.
I had a person to ask me "Hey brother how big is the plank in your own eye?" I said I don't have a plank I have a log and it is to big for you to pull out. lol, He grinned and didn't know what to say. Sometimes it is hard to handle the idea we need to get help and clean ourselves before we jump onto someone else.
Well yall be safe and hug the kids and give our Love to the families. God Bless. RTR!

Well this beautiful day is good. Been outside without my shirt on doing some walking hope to help my back. Got out there and put out some Fire Ant poison and I know it don't kill them but it will make them and hopefully eventually it'll move them out of the yard. RTR!

I thought a couple of weeks ago of starting a thread to see how many former posters we could remember.  Folks like wordman and coonass/pirate/general/ssmith spring to mind, but I can't really recall many.
