You've outdone yourself with the pics this year, Chech! Awesome!

Wow, it's been a tough week for me this week. I had a lot of things to get done on the farm, mainly getting the hay put in the barn. I got finished with the hay at about dark thirty last evening and I felt like I had gotten a pardon from the governor for a death sentence. I had been working on the hay the past two afternoons and it was hot.

Chech, I hope you got the lawn mowed since you got home. Cheesy

Anyway, football season is getting closer and CAJ and all the basketball news is keeping me entertained somewhat. I have had something happen recently and I can't remember when it happened last but it has been a long time. I've had folks asking me when they can order their basketball tickets. Shocked

Have a good evening everyone and wonderful weekend. Pray Cheesy

I loved working on the farm when my dad was alive. We raised chickens, hogs and cattle. I had a horse. I love to ride horses and I use to go to Horse Shows all over East Alabama and West Georgia. I have certainly hauled my share of hay. We use to cut 35 acres every year and mostly got 2 cuttings a year. usually it was about 1500 bales. Daddy use to share with who every came and cut and bailed it. We usually done it on halves. It was hot on them summer days I know that. RTR!

Good for you, Preacher.  We'd be a lot better off if more kids were raised that way.

Applause E-Cred an e-cred to Old Tider finally. I haven't gotten to see him as much as I would like to read his posts. Old Tider I totally agree with you. We didn't have time to play killer games, and we learned how to work. I sow a garden and hoe it out by the time I was 12 to 13 years old. Only time I sat on my rear all day was on Sunday and most of that was sitting on the pews. lol, I had a drug problem at a very early age. I was drug to church every time the doors was opened.  Laughing Laughing , RTR!

Well, I used to visit my grandfather in Louisiana and help pick cotton and feed the chickens. I would have liked to have spent more time there but don't think I could have survived the hard work you did, Ricky. You'll agree that it's wonderful to think of those old days.

Good morning.  Coffee

Thanks for the stories, Preacher.  Good stuff.  No, I haven't mowed yet. Today's the day (unless it rains).  LF managed without me, and she mowed once while I was out west.

Here's a morning pic for you guys.  I took lots of flower photos, because LF kept nagging that I always came home with nothing but pics of fish.

We finally got some much needed rain yesterday, about 1". More expected today.

It has been a difficult two weeks for the pmull family. The short version is a small lump was found during my wife's routine scheduled mammogram.  After further test and biopsy's it is not cancer. We just got the results yesterday. She goes back to the doctor on Monday but he thinks he was able to dissolve the tumor and no further treatment will be needed. Big scare. We take our health for granted but when something like this happens it shows how quickly things can change.

Nice photos.  You definitely were there at the right time, June.  I once spent a week riding a horse through the mountains south of Livingston, Montana.  It was August, my birthday, a bit hot and dry (but still awesome).  The guide kept saying we should come back in June, when the weather is perfect and the flowers are in bloom.

Pmull, I'm so glad it wasn't cancer. The "C" word has been rearing its ugly head a lot over the past few years with too many people. We don't need any more.

I got back from SC today around noon and it's pouring rain here now. Since a week ago Tuesday, I've put over 3200 miles on my car and it's time for a rest, for both the car and me. We crank it up again on Thursday.

J, it's awfully hot to be hauling hay. You know, you could cut that time down by making a gelding out of the main perp.

Chech, glad you made it home safely. From the look of those outstanding pics, you had to have had a great time.

OT, I spewed my adult beverage at the pic.

Morning, all.  Coffee

Glad you made it home, 2.  The road is long, huh?
