Sad day here. We have a neighbor who is a friend and a great Alabama Fan. His son got killed and burned up in a car last night leaving 3 little children and a wife. The neighborhood is kind of in shock for a bit this morning. Father's Day tomorrow it will probably even be worse. Please remember these Alabama friends when you pray.
It is getting hot here already today. RTR!

Pray  My heart breaks for the little ones.

Saturday (last day):

Fishing was a bit slower, and it was WINDY!  I spent more time seeing bears and such.
Time to pack and travel.

First thing at daylight, and this white goose shows up in the Madison River.
"Wait, that's no goose.  Any schoolchild (and some folks on CRS) knows a pelican!"

YIKES!!!  They only look big on a GoPro!

A terrible tragedy, Preacher. My heart goes out to the family, as well. Prayers.  Pray

We had a bit of drama last night. We went to a birthday party and then out to dinner in Fredericksburg. After dinner, we made a stop and I received an alert for a tornado warning on my phone. We stayed where we were and watched the bad weather pass slightly to the north of us. We then left and headed back to Colonial Beach. We were about 9 miles from there when we received another tornado warning. The wind and rain was terrible, so we pulled over at a convenience store and waited for the worst to pass.

As we were coming into Colonial Beach, we had to stop several times to clear branches and small trees from the road, until we came to a big tree we couldn't move. We rerouted and finally got back into town and the power was out and trees down everywhere. We finally snaked around town until we got to my daughter's house. Luckily, her neighborhood had not lost power.

We looked and felt like drowned rats when we got inside the house. Luckily, it appears there were no casualties from the tornado.

Happy Fathers Day to all. I wish a Happy Fathers Day to my Father in Heaven for he is the greatest Father I have ever had in my life.
My prayer today is that Fathers enjoy their families and that the families enjoy their fathers because when dad is gone their is no more life in a Fathers Day celebration much. God Bless you all.
2STATER I am so glad you made it OK.  Please all be safe from the weather this year. RTR!

Outstanding pics, Chech! Looks odd seeing the snow in the mountains as hot as it is here.

Hey Chechem the pics are fabulous but what does it feel like seeing this in person. I bet it is such a difference than seeing just the pics. RTR!
