Chech, how did your chainsawing efforts go yesterday?

Summary:

1. The first big tree (a big water oak) twisted and grabbed the saw.  I spent 15 minutes freeing the saw;
2. By noon I was sweaty, panting, and exhausted;
3. A repaclement crew of students arrived at noon, so I directed them in clearing the brush and garbage;
4. A scrap-metal man came by to ask if he could have the piles of cans, pipe, and assorted metal we'd piled at the street.  "SURE";
5. Today my back is VERY tired and my arms are sore, but I'm content.

It was a good day!

Careful with the back.

Looks like it's going to rain today.  It's overcast, warm (65 degrees), and damp.

I've got to rebuild Miss LF's flowerbed today, so maybe I'd better do that first thing.
She's representing us at church for Palm Sunday.
I've got to cut and shape a bunch of landscape timbers around the bed.  Should be pretty easy, especially since I already bought the timbers.

Substitute a handsome me for Mr. Scruffy, and this is the idea.

Good morning.  Coffee

We had severe thunderstorms about 2:30 this morning, and a light rain persists.  Then it's gonna drop to the low 30s tonight.  At least the weekend was beautiful.

I'd like to thank 2 for the e-creds.  Bubba's tears are my wealth!

Morning everyone. Coffee

Chech, I've been out already this morning trying to build some barriers to keep all this rain from washing away the rest of our garden. I didn't know until last night what a deluge we were going to get. Sounds like you've been very busy this weekend, I got tired reading about all you were doing. I've got some chain saw work waiting on me, an old sweetgum has to come down. Easter has lived up to it's annual weather prediction, cold weather the week of Easter.

Have a good and safe day everybody. Cheesy

About an hour ago it looked like that mean line of thundershowers was going to hit you, J, but it's passing south of Tuscaloosa.  Whew.

Yes, chilly for a couple of days, then beautiful and warm for A-Day.   Kiss

They are predicting 3+ inches here with the rain ending this morning and returning later today.

Sounds like you guys are really getting it. Ours is supposed to come tonight. We are expecting some cool weather here, afterwards, but nothing drastic. I hate I'm not going to be able to see the blood moon lunar eclipse tonight, but I'll take it if we can avoid the severe weather.

Well I understood yesterday that there will only be four of these Blood Moons. 2014 and 2015 there will be two each and then the Sun will be darkened. We are close, even at the door. I have to tell you I am feeling good right about now. God Bless. RTR!

It's 36 degrees!

Find a friend and cuddle up.

Sports: In case you missed it, the Braves got a 9th-inning grand slam to beat the Phillies last night.  They've won 4 straight.

It is still raining here and turning cooler. We had a lightning show last night that would have made Pink Floyd proud. We must really have some flooding in places as my phone went off twice with flash flood warnings and it's rained all night. Think I'll check the local news and see how bad things got.
