Why is Tide Basketball Not Allowed on the Quad?

Why do we have so many places to go to about Tide sports? Basketball is a MAJOR sport, but a good thread was moved off the Quad to another site. Personally, I don't want to have to go from site to site to talk about Tide sports. I want all the major stuff on one site, which seems logical to me. Is this a crazy idea? I would appreciate other posters comments on this.

I am not sure what thread you are talking about or who moved it, but the rules for the Quad are:

Feel free to talk about anything and everything sports related in this board.

So it shouldn't have been moved simply because it was basketball.  Which thread was it?  (I just got here and am just now looking at everything that happened today.)

So while looking at our sched. on espn.com I noticed our rankings in various categories. The one we can really wrap our arms around is 113th in FG PCT (LOL). I guess they don't even find defensive stats worth mention. BTW, I think I saw our rebounds per game ranked at 258th in the country. Maybe that is due to our shooting being so good there is just not all that many rebounds available.  Huh?

Thanks for responding so quick. I guess they think Tide BB should be at that site, but I disagree, for the reasons I have already given. I don't know who moved it. Also, a thread by pmull on the signing of two players was moved. Again, this is major news which needs to be on the Quad. Both are 4 star players.

We just needed a spot for the basketball recruiting sticky so pmull put it in Coleman. My thought was if we eventually got used to going to Coleman for hoops it would help keep the two majors separate. But we had enough stickies in the Quad already. JMHO

It was a great find, but maybe buried in Coleman C.  I prefer to allow basketball discussion on the Quad, since most people including me don't check Coleman and also because, while football and BB overlap a bit, things might get slow on the Quad in the Spring without BB.

This particular thread was moved so it could be be a sticky, which is a noble goal, but maybe copy instead of move for the sticky.

I started the thread in the Quad. It contained recruiting information for guys who will enroll next fall and play next year. BAMAWV recommended putting a sticky on it so we could reference it during the basketball season and add to it as necessary. We already have several sticky's in the Quad and we don't want to have to scroll to the bottom of the page to look at current posts so I moved it to a basketball only area at Coleman.

ALL that has happened is we needed a place for a cruitin' stickie. Nothing else was moved nor were any rules AT ALL made. Nice of y'all to start a support group for MD's period. Male PMS must be rough.

This gets worse every minute. I did not know you could move threads, so I inadvertently ratted you out when I reported that your thread had been moved. Man I screwed this up from start to finish. It's still George Bush's fault, though.
