It's not easy to win a BCS championship, but Alabama has made it look easy so far, which means one thing. A hard time's coming.

It might be only one game. It might not be this game, but it's going to come. It doesn't matter that Alabama leads the nation in five of the NCAA's 17 official team statistical categories. It doesn't matter that Alabama has played 420 minutes of football this season and trailed for exactly 15 seconds, or as long as it took Christion Jones to take that kickoff to the house against Ole Miss.

It doesn't matter that Alabama is the No. 1 team in the nation. No one lifts the crystal football without having to lift himself out of the dirt along the way…

Bama is in their opponents grill before they are even able to adjust to the speed of the game.  Mississippi State is NOT going to have an advantage in this regard due to the SOS they have faced this season. Bama 45-3

MSU has had a nice run through the weak part of their schedule. Their remaining games are Bama, A&M, LSU, Arkansas and Ole Miss. They will be lucky to go 2-3 the rest of the way.

MSU will come out fired up and ready to play. They may make a game of it for a little while but they do not have the ability to play 4 quarters against us. I think we win easily. 38-10

Our strongest games have not been at home this year. Bama wins, but only around 27-13 IMO.

MSU will be a tough, physical game for both teams. Always is. Big plays will make a difference both in the outcome and the margin of the score.  In-game injuries could be a big factor. My guess is that the score will be closer than we'd all like.

This game plus the next two will define the regular season.  I hope we can get through them with wins and without injuries.

This team we are playing even back when Jackie Shereill was the coach always played us tough. Yes I know we have scored a lot of points at times but not as many times as it being closer than we want it.

No doubt MSU has put all their eggs into the basket for this game, and they will be fired up. It will physical, and the Bullies will even stay with the Tide for the first quarter and a half or so, but Bama pulls away before halftime.

Tide - 42, State - 9

Instead of starting another post about this game, I thought I would pad to this one...

"Bulldogs must ground Tide to spring upset"

"Mississippi State leads the nation in turnover margin this season, having forced three or more turnovers in all but one game."

And they're gonna throw everything at us including the kitchen sink.
