Heard on WNSP in Mobile today that the Cleveland Browns are going to go after Saban. Anyone else hearing this?

I'm not concerned.  He has said several times that he does not care for the pro game.  There is just too many things that he has no control over.

CNS will be 61 on Halloween. How many more stops does he and Miss Terry want to make? I don't think he wants to rebuild another program. I think he is settled in at Bama and very happy. I expect him to stay another 4-6 years and then retire to the lake. I hope I'm right.

Bingo!! My exact thoughts. Cleveland can inquire, but he ain't going anywhere. Do you think he wants to live in Cleveland, the mistake on the lake? Do you think he wants to deal with all those egos in pro football? Plus, his age is a big reason, too.

I'm with pmull on this one.  At this stage, gotta believe CNS is more interested in legacy & history than most anything.  I think he knows that leaving a legacy in college football involves having long term success at ONE place.  I think he'll keep going at Bama as long as the job is satisfying and he has the support of his bosses.

Delusional barn/longhorn fans. Don't bother CNS with this silly stuff-- he is busy building a DYNASTY!

Haslam was introduced as the Browns' new boss after the 32 NFL owners unanimously approved his $1 billion purchase of the team from Randy Lerner. Moments later, Haslam announced that former Eagles President Joe Banner would become chief executive officer. The move takes effect Oct. 25 when the sale is concluded.

Haslam plans no other personnel changes before 2013, meaning the jobs of coach Pat Shurmur and his staff and general manager Tom Heckert appear safe.

There will be no Saban sighting in Cleveland.

The mere thought of CNS leaving is not what I would be worried about. Tenn. is what we need to really be thinking about. Coach's boss done said she and he has made their last stop till they go to the lake. I trust her words more than anybody else. RTR!

I would be floored if CNS even remotely considered a move there.

I've visited Cleveland throughout the years and its not a place I think Ms. Terry would ever consider.

One of the things I DON'T miss about Mobile. If WNSP reports it, its pretty much guaranteed that it is the exact opposite. Several of the announcers on there also have major crushes on Chizik and Malzahn (I ain't completely sure that these are platonic in nature   Shocked  )
