I guess the answer is to keep the ball away from them so that you only have to do those long drives a few times per game with big rest periods in between.  Saban will have an answer to how to best deal with these guys before too long.  He needs a no huddle defense where he can control the defense from the sideline.  Line up one way as a decoy, then when they are looking to the sideline to get their play call shift to your real defense.  Maybe have packages of 3 different looks that will work in a given down and distance scenario, then shift through them each time they change their play.  Before long they will run out of time on the play clock and just have to go with something.  If they don't change the play after you shift and they have plenty of time on the play clock, then that sort of tips their hand a little bit and indicates they like the play they are going to run against the look you are giving them, so be prepared when the ball is snapped and anticipate what types of plays would work well against your current look.

Breaking down their offensive line seems to disrupt everything. A constant charge and a contain rush like we used against Mich. will slow that down to a crawl.

I think a constant pounding of the rock, slow methodical drives that keeps the offense off the field. We did that against Texas and Auburn. I agree with a multiple shift would slow teams down that get set and then look to the sideline for play. An extra shift would kill the play clock for opposing teams.
We will be ready.

Matt Millen and Chip Kelly mischaracterized the CNS comments on ESPN last night. Millen did it (misquoted CNS) seconds after playing the video of CNS making his comments.

 Angry

Millen made some bad AJ comments during the Ole Miss game. Last night, he picked Oregon over Bama, of course mainly in front of the 2 in the morning West Coast crowd. Someone in Tusc (last week) must've asked him if everyone was gay at PSU, or was it just the athletic dept.(LOL).

I saw the pick.  I can't argue with him at this point.  We haven't played with a lot of consistency yet.  Our "all-everything" lineman who can play any spot on the line is getting whipped by tiny guys from Ole Miss.

Oregon is a well oiled machine at this point.  What they do, they do extremely well.  I don't think they could beat last year's Bama team or even come close.  But I don't this year's Bama team could do that either at this point.

They have not been tested. Two West Coast #23 teams so far. We watched them fold like cheap patio furniture against LSU. I watched the CFB show after that game and both guys said hands down Bama. Was the Oregon QB wearing leotards? Not to mention their uniforms looked like a brand of kitty litter I've seen advertised recently. Loyal of you to take the one game at a time, respect your opponent attitude, but I think CNS has our players filtering us. HTH

That was last year's LSU, who dominated everybody except 1 team.  They haven't been tested this year, and won't be tested.  Their biggest enemy is slipping up and losing to someone they should beat and then whining like Oklahoma State if they don't get into the game.  Their team this year seems about the same as the last few years.  But this year Alabama has work to do to get to the level they were playing at last year.

You've seen the film.  We are not there yet.  Look at Jones getting shoved all the way back to Moundville on this play:
