Four LSU football players, including linebacker Tahj Jones, have been declared academically ineligible for the 2012 football season, a source close to the program said Tuesday.


Tahj Jones is one of four LSU players academically ineligible this season.
Also out for the season are senior tight end Tyler Edwards, sophomore linebacker D.J. Welter and sophomore offensive lineman Evan Washington. Jones was the only player of the four who was a starter. He has been replaced in the lineup by junior Luke Muncie for the Tigers first two games.

Troubles continue with the players in Red Stick.

LOL, I was just about to post that.  This is the confirmation that we expected before the season started.  Les denied it (in his way) when asked a couple of weeks back  None of them is a starter, although Jones had been.  So as long as they didn't play on Saturdays it didn't matter that they were ineligible.

LSU continues to stumble along, surviving on talent while disorder chases close behind.
