Michigan tailback Fitz Toussaint and defensive end Frank Clark won't play in the Wolverines' season opener after offseason arrests, coach Brady Hoke announced Friday.

Hoke said the players were suspended for one game and will not make the trip to Arlington, Texas. Michigan faces No. 2 Alabama at 8 p.m. Saturday on ABC...

Okay.  Maybe Brady Hoke is in charge after all.

Benching these 2 players will probably affect Michigan some in this game but it will also affect their program in the future. He's been there one year and has had some success and I think this suspension will create more respect from the players than he has had since becoming their head coach. This is a big game for their team and these players know how important it is and to watch their coach suspend their best running back really sends a message to the others that making the right decisions will keep you on the team. I think he will do well at Michigan.
