What do you all think of this kickers contract? Is he worth it or too much for a FG kicke? Just wondering.

No I think a FG kicker has more pressure than any player on the field. He is called on at one moment to make a FG to win the game, send them to play-offs. I think they should make big bucks and no media coverage. lol, RTR!

I don't see any problem with it. The key in the NFL is that they can cut him any time they think it isn't worth it anymore.

Side note, I have always thought kicker was a fantastic job! Decent job, good money and no real threat of long term injuries.

Strange how no team will draft a FG kicker in the first round, yet they probably win at least 3-4 games a year for a team.

Pressure?  Give me a break.
His job is more narrowly defined than any other position.
All he has to do is (1) step off the strides; (2) look up at the goal post; (3) kick; (4) throw up his arms and get hugged; and (5) drink beer.

Hey Marshall I hadn't thought about it but your right. They are what 5th or 6th round type pick? RTR!

LOL, Che your a sight. I bet kicker from the Giants in 1991 was just a tad nervous or what about Venateri in the super bowl for New England. I bet they sweated out over 1/2 million dollars worth of sweat especially when your ready to kick it and some idiot on the other side calls time-out. lol, RTR!

LOL!  You forgot to mention a few things. (1) FG gets hit while trying FG by 240# LB, (2) 170# FG has to tackle 210# Kick Returner because everyone else missed him, (3) 170# FG Kicker gets blocked by 255# player on KO Return

Sounds like the kicker needs to work more in the weight room. Grin
