I'm impressed sometimes when GD calls something before it happens, and he's a pretty smart guy. Having said that, he is also a sanctimonious ass. He needs to stick to doing color and keep his opinions out of the broadcast. I too, could have throttled him for going on and on about the Quinton Dial hit on Murray.

and if Murray were not a QB ?  and QD made that hit on like say ,  a lineman ?

I wanted to call CBS and tell them to get Gary to take deep breaths

A lot of people were upset last week when the Arky player (from Prichard of all places) held Jalen's head down during the interception. I didn't take offense to it. The defensive guy was doing what he should, to take Hurts out of the play. If you think about it, he saved him from taking a big hit by doing that. But people were trying to make a big deal out of that. Bottom line; you take everybody out, who is still mobile, to keep them from making a play.

I'm on the "don't like GD" team personally.  I won't argue that he doesn't know db's or even college football.  I won't even argue that he can't pronounce players names either.  My gripe with him is the many times that he has analyzed a play immediately after the whistle only to have the play replayed and it was obvious that he was wrong.  Not just a little bit off either.  I've seen where he wasn't even close to accurately describing what happened but he just pukes out his garbage again and tries to get the tv audience to believe it.  He should stick to prognostication and get away from in-game color analysis...
